New Chief Executive Officer for Britest

Britest Limited would like to announce that, as of 1st April 2024, Dr Kirk Malone will become Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and will join the Board of Britest as Executive Director.

Kirk is currently the Commercial Director of Britest, having joined the company in May 2023. Prior to this, he held a number of positions at the University of Manchester at the interface of academia and industry, most recently as Director of Commercialisation at the Manchester Institute of Biotechnology. Kirk has a PhD in organic chemistry from the University of Edinburgh, and extensive experience in interdisciplinary science, project and R&D management, and business development across multiple sectors.

Sue Fleet, Chair of the Board of Britest, said “On behalf of all the Directors of Britest, I am very pleased to appoint Kirk to the role of CEO. The Board has been impressed with how business has progressed since he joined the company just under a year ago, a credit to his efforts as Commercial Director, but also a testament to the hard work of the whole Britest team.
