New appointment - Britest welcomes Kirk Malone

Britest Ltd is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Kirk Malone as Commercial Director from 01 May 2023.

Kirk joins us from the University of Manchester where he was Director of Commercialisation of the Manchester Institute of Biotechnology and the national EPSRC / BBSRC Future Biomanufacturing Research Hub. Kirk has a PhD in organic chemistry, and extensive experience in interdisciplinary science, project management, and business development at the interface of academia and industry, across multiple sectors.

I’m looking forward to working with our member organisations, and engaging more broadly with companies and academia.

Kirk said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Britest full-time after a brief secondment here. I’m looking forward to working with our member organisations, and engaging with more broadly with companies and academia, to apply Britest’s innovation to develop safer, more productive, and sustainable processes.”
