Britest member – The University of Nottingham – is organising the 6th International Conference on Green and Sustainable Chemistry at Nottingham from the 4th-7th August 2013.
Professor Martyn Poliakoff said “We believe that this conference comes at an important time due to the increased emphasis on sustainability following the recent global summit in Rio de Janeiro.”
It also has a number of features that will make it the leading conference in the field for 2013. Firstly, it coincides with a major drive at Nottingham to emphasise the importance of sustainability both at the University and within the School of Chemistry where they are building the first Carbon Neutral Laboratory in Europe, and possibly the world.
Secondly, the conference programme aims to be as inclusive as possible and brings together a wide selection of speakers from academia, industrial engineers, scientists and all branches of chemistry.
Registration is now open for the confernce and further details can be viewed at: www.nottingham.ac.uk/GSC-6
