Aesica Pharmaceuticals joins Britest

Aesica Pharmaceuticals is the latest industrial organisation to join Britest with immediate effect. They join a group of 22 leading companies and academic organisations who collaborate uniquely in the development of innovative tools and methodologies to support whole process understanding.

Aesica Pharmaceuticals provides contract development and manufacturing services for formulated products and active pharmaceutical ingredients to the pharmaceutical and emerging biotechnology sectors. It’s recently established ‘Aesica Innovation Board’ (AIB) seeks to identify and commercialise new innovative technologies through development partnerships and active collaborations with academia and innovation-focused industrial organisations.

Dr Barrie Rhodes, Aesica Director of Technology Development said: “The unique collaboration offered through Britest membership fits perfectly with our own aspirations for developing and implementing new technologies and improved processes to support business growth.” He added: “Following successful demonstration of the Britest approach on a key Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient process at our Cramlintgton site, we are now looking forward to engaging fully in the Britest collaboration and implementing the Britest approach across a range of processes.”
