Britest Tools and Facilitation Skills Training introduces both the core essentials of the Britest Toolkit and the facilitation skills needed to maximise the value of a Britest study.
The course will show you how to use the mostly frequently employed Britest process understanding tools and how they can be applied in a range of chemical and physical processing contexts. The Facilitation Skills sections will equip you with the knowledge and confidence needed to prepare for, lead, and learn from well-focused, productive, and enjoyable process understanding studies.
An online course in four half-day units at weekly intervals:
Tools are introduced via a short presentation after which trainees get to try them out in group-based practice exercises based on fictionalized, close to real world situations, using the same virtual whiteboard environment favoured by Britest’s facilitators. Based on experience of successful (and unsuccessful) studies, the Facilitation Skills training emphasizes sharing of views and stories as well as taught content. Active group discussion work forms an integral part of the course.
Course reference notes are provided to trainees and a course completion certificate for CPD purposes.
This is the ideal opportunity for anyone new or relatively new to Britest to build their knowledge of the Britest Toolkit and approach to facilitation, especially if training in-house is not available for whatever reason on the timescale that you need. The course would also work well for anyone seeking to strengthen and extend their Britest skills after a while by exposure to the most up to date versions of tools and thinking, and especially if you are interested in building up your skills as a study facilitator.
Each session will take place live and on-line in a secure Teams meeting hosted by Britest. Each session will combine extensive input from the course tutor with ample opportunities for interactive discussion and exploration of common issues and shared experiences with fellow trainees.
