MultiCycle Training Tool
The MultiCycle EU Innovation Action ran from 2018-2022 and delivered an industrial recycling pilot plant for thermoplastic based multi-materials, demonstrating the shift to a circular economic model in multilayer packaging / flexible films and fibre-reinforced thermoplastic composites in the automotive sector, as indicators of potential in many other segments..
In order to support capacity building in industry and in education to promote the adoption of new recycling technologies the project has produced this self-guided training tool drawing on the project's activities and findings. The materials in the guide may be adapted for reincorporation in other training and educational resources. Please contact us if you require any assistance.
It includes:
- an outline of the broad landscape and case for a circular economy economy in plastics
- an overview of the MultiCycle process concepts and operating principles
- a more detailed description of the integrated pilot industrial process developed by the project partners
- a summary of sustainability analyses conducted during the project, and
- a description of onward characterization, processing and uses made of MultiCycle recyclates in demonstration evaluations in industry.
