Transformation, Entities, Properties, Physics, Parameters, Order of Magnitude (TE3PO)

TE3PO is used to record and analyse knowledge about transformations. It is similar to Driving Force Analysis but was developed to capture information about parallel rate processes (such as physical processing operations or polymerisations) where the rates need to be balanced in order to deliver the desired transformations.

TE3PO draws upon information captured in Rich Pictures and Cartoons, and/or Transformation Maps. It structures and summarises process knowledge to aid:

• Process analysis for troubleshooting
• Identification of key material properties, physics and parameters for numerical modelling
• Identification of knowledge gaps for experimental planning
